The child is uninsured and suffers from a systematic form of rheumatoid arthritis and macrophage activation syndrome. There is an immediate need for injections KINERET 100 mg. The drug costs 735 euros and covers the child for 28 days only. The treatment must be followed for 12 months and unfortunately the family is unable to cover the cost. Our office struggles every month to find the drug and this time the child is covered only for 20 more days.

The Metropolitan Social Clinic operates with the help and support of the the Municipality of Helliniko-Argiroupolis, since December 2011 and to date has received close to 9,000 medical visits within 17 months. It operates wholly with the help offered by the people and the 200 volunteers offering their services without profit. We want to emphasize that our office does not accept under any circumstances monetary donations only in kind and services, which in turn we offer to patients in need. Citizens asking for our help come from the most vulnerable social groups and are uninsured and / or poor and / or unemployed.
